I'm not going to do a full review - I'm going to make this short and sweet considering my last post resembled an essay!!! - see I'm blabbing on already!

Had lunch with the girls on Sunday at the Gazebo Wine Gardens - Elizabeth Bay, the perfect venue for a girls' day out to celebrate our Christmas lunch and exchange KK gifts! 

I know I'm a little bias with the Winery/Gazebo family but I cannot think of a better venue than this for a girls lunch. It has the food, the decor, the right drinks - white sangria all the way! The price is spot on, although we did manage to spend $70+ (excl tips) and that might be considered a little dear for "lunch", however, I wouldn't consider our appetite "normal" - 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 desserts + 3 jugs of sangria and pimms between 4 girls??? That's a bargain! So if your appetite is a lot smaller than ours then you'll be fine! ;)

The sun came out to play for a few hours so we were all dressed for Summer. Regardless of the horrendous weather, I won't be defeated and will continue to dress as if it's 30 degrees for the next 3 months!

turning of age.

Every year, like every little girl (tee hee), I create a birthday "wish list". The operative word here being "wish" as I've learnt to be less impulsive and careless with my money (credit card) and be more responsible. I must learn to maintain things and allow things to last longer than 12 months (I don't take good care of my things). Cameras, phones, electronics - especially.

Every other year prior to my 25th birthday last year, the one thing on the list that remained the same - the Chanel Jumbo in black caviar with gold hardware. Now I can finally exclude that from my "wish list".

Be Inspired.

When pretty floral dresses are seen with pixie ankle boots and when mini skirts are worn with doc martens combat boots, you know times have changed and new age has come. What was deemed impossible, is now possible. What was seen as inappropriate, is actually now regarded as trendy.

Therefore, whoever said 6" platform pumps "has" to be worn with a pretty dress?

Here's my outfit inspiration for the day - what I would wear if I was a rich celebrity (Vic Beckham's style) on my day off going to meet the girls for lunch/day out and was spotted by the paparazzi.

The Malaya - King St Wharf

Malaysian cuisine, like most Asian cuisines are rich in flavour.
In  particular, Malaysians, influenced by their Indian counterparts, as a result their cuisine is heavily infused with lots of spices and herbs.Typical Malaysian dishes consists of rotti bread and curry, nasi (fried) rice etc

In Sydney, the Malaysian community appears to be growing as what was originally scarce (in comparison to Chinese, Japanese and Thai restaurants) is now more prominent and you can find a local Malaysian restaurant just about in every suburb (town, district).

The Malaya, located in Sydney's famous Lime Street amongst the likes of Kobe Jones is your typical Western-fusion Malaysian food. I'd recommend coming here for birthdays/ parties/ large group bookings as the banquet menu has large servings and no one will leave the room hungry. Whatever you do, make sure you order their yummy mocktails - the "Mei Ling" in particular!

What to wear to a place like this? Since it wasn't a cheap/tacky Asian restaurant in Chinatown, it's okay to wear heels, nice accessories and take plenty of photos!
